Meet Nyamu Kang’alia: Our Outstanding Product Manager
Nyamu Kang’alia joined the Mesozi team in early 2019 to take up the role of Product Manager for MarketForce. Under his stewardship, and with invaluable support from the whole team and from our esteemed clients, the product is well on its way to becoming the market leader in field sales and distribution automation in Africa.
Professionally
Kang’alia graduated from the School of Computing and Informatics, University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. Before Mesozi, he worked as Software Engineer at Savannah Informatics, a Health Informatics vendor. Throughout his six years in Software Engineering, he has gained meaningful experience that is critical to the growth of the MarketForce platform. Besides technical experience, he has been able to nurture managerial skills through which he has been able to come up with strategic approaches to build, grow and scale MarketForce.
Outside work
Interestingly, Kang’alia loves to cook. He calls it his special secret hobby, but that is a story for another day. When he is not working or tinkering with various recipes, Kang’alia reads from a variety of disciplines, but of particular significance is literature on tech. He says that he aspires to join the league of data scientists and leaders in artificial intelligence in Africa, and be able to contribute towards making people’s lives better through tech. He also believes that Africa will one day become the digital hub of the world, and desires to be in the cohort that strives to achieve this promising reality.When he can spare the time, Kang’alia loves to cycle. He says, “It is an ideal way to get my mind off of things for a while. During moments such as these I can think, put everything into perspective and continuously adapt my progress to my life goals.” He believes in family as well and on occasion, he likes to spend time with them.
