Beniamino Bruno joins MarketForce 360 as COO and Head of Finance
2020 has been a remarkable year for Marketforce 360 – We upgraded our Marketforce 360 platform with a new user interface and incredible features, and unveiled a new business line, Marketforce Troops. To expand the product and team, we boosted our fundraising efforts and got great new partners such as Victoria Ventures, EchoVC Partners, P1 Ventures, Ventures Platform and Y combinator.
With that, I am thrilled to announce that effective 1st September 2020, Beniamino Bruno joined MarketForce 360 as our COO and Head of Finance. Beniamino will lead the team from designing to implementing the new strategy that will allow the company to scale regionally and internationally.
Additionally, he will be driving day-to-day operations across the team to pursue our mission of building the most comprehensive field sales and distribution platform for Africa, through pushing the needle in innovation in the retail distribution sector and creating impact for millions of businesses.
Coming full circle
Beniamino is no stranger to the MarketForce 360 family. I first met him in June 2019. At the time, he was the Head of Risk and Analytics at Pawame, in charge of leading data-driven projects across the organization, developing analytics solutions, managing Pawame’s customer portfolio and implementing the credit framework. He went on to become the CIO of Pawame, in charge of leading ICT and portfolio management departments to boost business model scalability through business process automation and advanced analytics solutions.
Just before Pawame, Bruno served in various Finance and Risk Management roles across the world with a focus on designing and developing credit, pricing and predictive models, research and data analytics, and deal structuring at PwC and JESA Capital.
We met at a panel discussion on Sales and Distribution in the Kenyan tech scene, and quickly became very acquainted to each other. Bruno ended up sitting in our advisory board a few months later. Through this role, he has developed a deep understanding of our business, team and vision.

We provide a mobile app where sales agents record all their sales activities including orders, visits, deliveries, payments and feedback as they happen, giving companies real-time market visibility into the performance of their agents and products in the market. This enables companies to serve customers better by optimizing their sales, distribution and marketing activities and teams based on market trends and consumer purchasing habits.
We have close to 100 companies and 8,000 daily active sales agents using our solution and processing over $10 million in monthly GMV in the retail distribution of both consumer goods and services through our platform – across 3 primary markets; Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with a team of about 30.
